Preface

Lebanon has witnessed various phases and endured several circumstances, some of which were luminous and some were painful, but it always remained a message nation, as described by Saint John Paul II. So far, Lebanon, the institutional state, has not had a real opportunity to prove the success of coexistence, especially since many events left a big impact on the country’s path and influenced the possibility of implementing the constitution and living in its spirit, especially since many events left a big impact on the country’s path and influenced the possibility of implementing the constitution and living in its spirit, and eventually made the National Pact a mere historical memory.

Lebanon, the message nation, is in dire need today of groups that work by the grace of the spirit, derive their strength from acknowledging their weakness, and are aware of their need for constant and persistent repentance to make a change in the approach adopted in the political action today. All of that in the aim to prevent our Lebanon from collapsing and from losing its sovereignty, especially since we are enduring several crises, not least, because we are hostages of a government that established over the years a corrupt system of ruling, in which the people hold responsibility on many levels.

Because we are full of hope and since there is no place for surrender in our faith and belief, we have a duty to work for the good of Lebanon and the Lebanese people, as the Lord Jesus Christ, the God of truth, justice and mercy, commanded us to defend the truth and cooperate with those who are committed to serve the common good.

Lebanon is our past, our present and our future. Lebanon will remain our identity, always… Abadan Loubnan.

About us

We are a Christian community who met and experienced Christ and were introduced to the truth of life with him, we are committed to the teaching of the Church and we strive to live by the great commandments: faith, asceticism, humility, love, hope, truth and holiness, while searching for Christ in the midst of political action. Sincere repentance brought us together, and our first and main goal lies in abandoning the life of sin, in order to live by the Spirit to glorify God and serve man, so that Christ would be the cornerstone on which we build a society and a country that stay strong and firm even while facing the most furious winds. With great joy, we look forward to work in the spirit of Christ who serves everyone regardless of religion or race, and to cooperate with our fellow countrymen, so that we may all strive towards perfection, even if we do not agree yet on the whole truth.

We are called to build on what we have in common. We want all Christians, even those who overlook Christ’s call for them, to be the salt of the earth and to know the real basis of their mission. Just like Saint Paul, we do not claim to be perfect, but that Christ has comprehended us and made us his own. We believe that those who are responsible, just like the citizens, will reveal the good and incorruptible fruits that lie within them when they live by the spirit. Moreover, we acknowledge the urging necessity for committed believers to engage in the political action, because their eyes will be focused on working with righteousness for their salvation and the salvation of their brothers in the country, regardless of their affiliations.

We see Mary as our mother and intercessor and protector in this work, because she is the morning star of this East, because our country is consecrated to her blessed heart, and because the interreligious dialogue about her person was first launched in Lebanon.

Our goals

• To raise glory to God who has blessed us with this life and loved us to the very end, and to bear witness to this divine love that transcends all knowledge in this society in order to preserve the dignity of man, who was originally created in the image and likeness of God.
• To encourage the youth, who are truly living in Christ, to engage in political action, after they distanced themselves from this work contrary to what was stated in John Paul II’s apostolic exhortation “ANew Hope for Lebanon”: “The lay faithful cannot absolutely renounce their participation in “politics”, namely to multiform action, economic, social, legislative, administrative, cultural, which aims to promote, organically and through institutions, the common good” and as His Holiness Pope Francis said, “If a Christian is not a revolutionary at this time, he is not a real Christian!”
• To establish an inclusive national identity based on the vision of Patriarch Elias Howayek, one of the founders of the Lebanese entity, who sees the love of the homeland as a virtue inseparable from the virtue of the love of God, notably, since God created us in this homeland to be his partners in making history. This national identity can be common and cross-sectarian and a solid starting point for a new centenary in the age of this country.
• To develop comprehensive visions for all sectors, based on individual freedom and collective responsibility towards the weak, and founded on the teaching of the Gospel and the Church but applicable in accordance with the modern Lebanese context. Our vision must be built on faith and reason so it can stem from the divine truth in harmony with the modern sciences that do not contradict this truth, in such a way that the result will be a divine and human partnership just as God intended for the creation of this world.
• To devise solutions, develop plans and implement them away from the illusions of domination and without drowning into and around the world of money and personal interests, but through a real diagnosis of the Lebanese reality away from personalism, factionalism, dependence and clientelism, but based on new or old objective studies.
• To spread a political culture based on service and not abuse of power, founded on self-sacrifice following the example of the sacrifice on the cross, never compromising on the values ​​and principles of faith, while always being ready to admit and apologize for any possible mistake, addressing the citizens, who are considered the source of power, with integrity and the authenticity, and pairing our promises and words with actual deeds. We aim to achieve all of that while acknowledging that our strength stems from relying on God.
• To Build a nation that will be a real source of holiness, so that a person can achieve his goals through activating his talents and gifts and creativity in all practical, literary and artistic fields, etc.
• To Follow a Work Mechanism that consolidates the role of Lebanon, the message nation, among all its citizens, through the spirit of Christ that resides in us and through His light that shines from our fellow brothers who were created in the image of God, regardless of their faith and belief..

Our goal is to live a just, peaceful and beautiful life in our country.

Work mechanism

1. Establishing a committed Christian community, whose members live the true Christian life based on love and service and derive their strength from grace and repentance in the aim of serving the common good.
2. Dividing the work into committees based on specializations (economic, political, environmental, legal, etc…) to set the desired vision. Based on the latter, the main raised topics will be examined and previous or recent studies will be evaluated, in order to find solutions for every problem separately.
3. Consulting specialists to have a comprehensive, realistic and applicable work program, nd to implement it so that it does not remain mere words without action, to be able eventually to find solutions and policies that will be included in the program.
4. Providing 64 candidates to run for elections on the basis of competence and Christian commitment, and searching for partners who are also believers to have a total of 128 candidates running across the country, candidates who agree to live with the fear and love of God and love for each other. We will strive to have them as real and actual representatives of the people in the parliament. It is important to mention that our goal does not lie in making Lebanon a Christian or Islamic state, but rather a state that applies the laws of conscience, mercy and social justice, and guarantees freedom of belief.
5. Working on modernizing the unfair laws and to push for implementation decrees for the laws that have been approved and are still sitting in the parliament’s drawers, and to present law proposals that serve the human being and fortify his dignity, through our elected representatives and in cooperation with other parliament members who share with us the same course of action.
6. Working on plans and strategies to improve the management in various sectors in order to benefit from the Lebanese natural and intellectual wealth and to decrease the flow of immigration.

Quite simply, we seek to assume our responsibility before God, who we put in his hands all our hopes, aspirations, goals, work and life, n order to preserve this country that He created for us for our sake and the sake of our children and their future, this country in which he placed us, intentionally and not by chance, to fulfill his plan. We hope that by the power of Christ we will be able to have Lebanon, the real message nation, and to live a life full of god’s love.

As Christians, we have hope where there is no hope, we have brothers and not enemies, our strength is derived only from the strength of God, and we trust in Him, He who called us to live our life to the fullest because he conquered the world. Lastly, our first and last goal remains to imitate, in our service, our Teacher who came to serve, not to be served.
